I've been looking at recipes today, new ideas and interesting ways to approach my new lifestyle. Baking is going to be a challenge that I conquer a little further in the future. For now I'm going to have to go with the bread and baked goods that others have come up with. I'm sure there are some good ones out there.
A new problem has presented itself, however. Saturday night we will be joining some of our favorite people for dinner before going to The Night of a 1000 Dollys, a drag show and look a like contest. I'm not worried about the show, I won't be drinking alcohol or eating anything there. My trepidation comes with where to go for dinner. I've been looking at restaurants on Yelp.com, and places that have intrigued me in the past are pretty much off limits now. There are some that are GF friendly, but they're damned expensive or I know that at 6:30 on a Saturday night they will be packed. This will not be an easy task, I really don't want to be eating a boring salad while everyone else has pizza. Sushi might be a good option, as long as I stay away from soy sauce, tempura, crunchy or crispy anything, miso soup (which usually has soy sauce in it), eel rolls (has soy in the usual glaze)... sigh. More on this later.
